Poppa John and Lydia playing at River Side. Lydia discovers the wonders of throwing rocks into the river. I remember this same activity, and I wish I were there to join them! With each throw, Lydia proclaims "Splash." There is something magical and entertaining about rock throwing, and Lydia kicked off her rock skipping career in these photos!
Momma...I Found the Lipstick In Your Purse :-)
Among Lydia's many hobbies (including cooking, gardening, trashing the family room, and of course lets not forget jumping in mud puddles) is the famous purse search. Purse searching is the practice of taking everything in Momma's purse and placing it on the floor. However, this practice (known as snooping if you are an adult) occasionally results in experimenting with the objects found in the purse.
On this day, Lydia discovers lipstick. And she did a pretty good job of it too! At least she didn't get it in her eye ;-)
Lydia's Landmark
Lydia has her very own landmark!!! Lydia is up in the lights now thanks to Uncle Dutch and Auntie Pam! On bilboards throughout the Southern tier, greater than life sized portraits brighten up the city streets. This shot shows a very proud grandma in front of one of Lydia's claim to fame!
